The Sharpie® Bus, a creativity hub on wheels that celebrates the brand’s rich heritage and showcases new #innovations, has toured the U.S. since April, stopping at various arts festivals and events to inspire self-expression. Their latest stop was our Atlanta, GA headquarters, where employees had the chance to explore brand history and interact with their new Creative Markers, which show up boldly on a variety of dark and light surfaces.

In recognition of #VeteransDay (U.S.) and #RemembranceDay (Canada, Australia, U.K.), we extend our deepest gratitude to those who have served their countries, including our Veteran employees and their families. Earlier this year, we made a donation of over $60,000 in school supplies from our Writing brands like Sharpie®, Paper Mate® and Elmer’s® to Operation Homefront, whose mission is to provide support and resources that help build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive, not simply struggle to get by, in the communities they have worked to protect. The donation contributed to Operation Homefront’s Back-to-School Brigade®, an annual nationwide campaign that collects and distributes school supplies to eligible dependents of service members. Since its inception, the program has distributed over 550,000 backpacks to military children. We are grateful to partner with organizations like Operation Homefront as we do our part to support our communities and honor our Veteran employees and their families.

This week, Sharpie® and Paper Mate® visited the Boys and Girls Club of Benton County, AR for some seasonal fun using our Sharpie Creative Markers and Paper Mate InkJoy Gel Bright! Pens! Clubgoers used the markers and pens to complete activity sheets, decorate pumpkins and design Contigo® water bottles. The event was part of the brands’ recently-announced, $1 million three-year partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), which includes multiple local club engagements and support towards BGCA’s arts programming. Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton County was also a 2024 grant recipient through our Local Impact Grant Program in which employees in select Newell Brands locations nominate and vote on nonprofits aligned with our focus areas to receive a grant from the Newell Brands Charitable Foundation. Thank you to Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton County for having us!

Our thoughts are with those recently impacted by significant hurricanes in the Southeast United States. To date, we have committed nearly 1 million Newell products to Good360, Baby2Baby and Save the Children US to support relief efforts. These include Rubbermaid Commercial Products® BRUTE trash containers, spray mops and microfiber cloths, Rubbermaid® plastic totes, Graco® and Baby Jogger® playards, bassinets and strollers, NUK® pacifiers, tableware and bottles Coleman® sleeping bags, tents and outdoor stoves and Contigo® and Bubba® water bottles. Following Hurricane Helene, The Newell Brands Charitable Foundation also announced a monetary donation to the American Red Cross (ARC). The core mission of our philanthropic efforts is to support the communities in which we operate and where our employees and consumers live. During times of crisis and disaster, we are especially proud to honor this commitment.
