2024 was NewLimit's second full year of operations. Our key accomplishments: 1. >10X increase in the throughput of our Discovery Engine 2. Discovered TF sets that restore youthful gene expression while preserving cell type 3. Demonstrated that partial reprogramming with a drug-like molecule can restore youthful function in an animal model of liver disease Along the way, we answered a series of open scientific questions. Our Machine Learning team at NewLimit is growing. We have an opportunity for a senior leader to push the frontier of in silico reprogramming methods. This problem is at the heart of modern drug discovery. The reason most drugs fail is because we drug the wrong targets. We're entering an epoch where large scale cell perturbation screens & ML methods allow us to explore complex target space with evidence & empiricism, rather than hunches & wishful thinking. This will be one of the most impactful applications of ML in drug discovery over the coming decades. At NewLimit, we're solving this problem in a tractable subdomain -- discovering TF sets that make old cells look & act young for partial reprogramming medicines. This leader will be empowered to innovate with wind at their sails: - More combinatorial cell perturbation data than all public datasets combined - Predict -> Validate loops every month - Experimental methods designed to support learning large-scale models, rather than 100 heterogeneous experiments stitched together with duct tape Come build with us:
