Last week, we hosted our first Christmas celebration in the new office ✨ A fantastic way to wrap up the year! The day kicked off with a full Christmas dinner for lunch, giving everyone a chance to chat and mingle with colleagues. Drinks in the afternoon were complemented by delicious cakes, kindly brought over from Launch Foods by Craig 🚀 The festivities included plenty of prizes, a fun quiz, and an inspiring talk from Craig at Launch about how we can continue to support the charity Launch Foods moving forward. A big thank you to everyone at News Scotland for making this year so brilliant. It was fantastic to celebrate our achievements together, with Richard Bogie Magnus Llewellin and Kris Gilmartin reflecting on the major highlights for The Scottish Sun and The Times Scotland. Here’s to an even better year ahead. Cheers🥂

Santa's little helpers at News Scotland delivered our office Christmas donations to Launch Foods today! 🎄 🚀 Launch is not only a fantastic place to enjoy a coffee, cake, or lunch, but every purchase helps to feed a hungry child in Glasgow. In response to Glasgow’s alarming child poverty rates, Launch Foods foundation was established in 2018 with the sole purpose of tackling child food poverty in the city. 100% of all profits from Launch Coffee go towards supporting the operations of Launch Foods’ foundation. This is just a small part of what Launch does for the wider community – it is a remarkable organisation with a strong commitment to community values. Over the past month, our team has been collecting donations of hats, scarves, gloves, and selection boxes for the kids. JP was overjoyed and very thankful for the donations. If you are in Glasgow, please visit their cafe, and keep an eye out for their new location opening in Princes Square in 2025. Nicola Gribben Liz Mulgrew Launch Foods

Earlier this month, News UK’s brands gathered in Manchester to reflect on a media landscape which is changing at breakneck speed. We heard from The Times, The Sun, and talkSPORT, on everything from how digital transformation is opening up innovative new angles for journalism, to how the rise of video and podcasts offers brands fresh routes to audiences. Building from last year’s event, Media Evolution 2024 was an opportunity to spotlight some of News UK’s biggest moments in journalism. From Scarlet Howes reporting on the Huw Edwards scoop at The Sun, to David Collins on his investigative podcast Cocaine Inc., which is a fascinating exposé of the underground world of the global cocaine trade. Watch the highlights in the video below 👇
