Connecting Southeast Asia to a world of possibilities
About us
Ninja Van Group is a tech-enabled logistics organisation, backed by marquee investors including GeoPost, Alibaba Group, and B Capital Group. Launched in 2014 as an e-commerce express logistics company, it reached 100% network coverage by 2018 with over 2,000 stations and hubs across Southeast Asia. Today, around two million parcels course through its network daily. A decade of operations fortified Ninja Van Group’s e-commerce express network, enabling concurrent diversification across the realms of e-commerce and express logistics. To maximise its scale in e-commerce, Ninja Van Group offers a comprehensive suite of solutions – from digital to full-funnel marketing – to help shippers sell better. As a springboard for expansion beyond e-commerce, Ninja Van Group's e-commerce express network lays the groundwork for venturing into other express verticals, including business-to-business inventory restocking and cold chain.

We’re a network-driven business where efficiency grows with scale. Think of it like comparing a train network to a taxi service. We’re more like a train network – reliable, dependable, and cost-effective. This approach works well for e-commerce logistics, where costs can form a significant part of the equation. A taxi-style model simply wouldn’t be sustainable in this context. Now we want to bring that same network efficiency to B2B restocking and cold chain logistics. And we’re uniquely positioned to do so. #ninjavan #sea #asean #b2b #coldchain #supplychain #logistics #innovation #transformation

“𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐛𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐥𝐲, 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬?” asked Martin Soong, co-Anchor of CNBC Squawk Box Asia. Chang Wen Lai, our Co-founder and CEO, explains that the magic of Ninja Cold lies in our ability to layer cold assets – such as small cool boxes, insulated boxes with cooling units, and mobile fridges – on top of our e-commerce express logistics network. We’re now tapping into this network, honed over a decade of serving e-commerce logistics, to lend its efficiency to the more traditional realm of B2B restocking and cold-chain logistics. “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐜,” Chang Wen Lai says, “𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨-𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲.” Watch the interview snippet here below. #ninjavan #sea #asean #b2b #coldchain #supplychain #logistics #innovation #transformation

We’ve always recognised the potential to do more with the network we’ve built. But with finite resources, we’ve had to make strategic bets. When e-commerce was booming, the question was: should we explore other growth opportunities or double down to solidify our leadership in e-commerce? We were clear from the start that disrupting B2B and Cold Chain logistics would require scale and presence – both of which take time to establish. Now that e-commerce growth has stabilised, we’re perfectly positioned to seize the opportunity to build differentiated capabilities in these spaces. E-commerce has leapfrogged traditional retail, but the efficiency of distribution to brick-and-mortar stores has largely been overlooked. We see a significant opportunity to innovate and transform this space. With 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐚 𝐁2𝐁 and 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐝, we’ve set out to redefine what’s possible. #ninjavan #sea #asean #b2b #coldchain #supplychain #logistics #innovation #transformation

Ninja Van, if you recall, was founded as an e-commerce express logistics company by three friends back in 2014. What is ahead of the firm as it celebrates its 10th anniversary this year? Well, Chang Wen says the answer lies in cold chain logistics and B2B logistics services that help businesses restock their goods. Thank you, CNBC, for having Chang Wen on Access ASEAN earlier today. We’re grateful for the chance to share insights on our two growth engines — B2B and cold-chain logistics — during the 10-minute segment. Just as we did a decade ago with e-commerce, we're excited to bring the same elevated level of tech-enabled transformation to traditional logistics. Thanks for the chat, John Patrick (JP) Ong, Sri Jegarajah, Martin Soong. #b2b #restocking #coldchain #logistics #southeastasia #sea #asean

We were invited to the launch of Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA)'s last-mile delivery solutions exhibition launched by National Development Minister Desmond Lee. The exhibition showcases ongoing efforts by the Government and industry to improve last-mile deliveries. We were especially interested in solutions that'll help our drivers ease their deliveries. 2 exhibits stood out for us: ▪️ The addition of IMDA's 150 parcel lockers by Pick that will soon be installed in new estates, and ▪️ The courier hub scheme where courier companies can apply to use parking spaces at more than 50 multi-storey carparks to support delivery activities. We look forward to seeing how we can integrate these solutions into our delivery flow. #ninjavan #lastmile #logistics #deliveries #ecommerce

The latest Google, Temasek, Bain & Company 2024 Report shares that existing users are now the primary growth engine for e-commerce, accounting for 60-70% of 2024 growth. Ninja Van spotted this in 2023. We published the paper on "𝐞-𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐬", a group of online shoppers who make up 15% of SEA's e-shopper population and are responsible for a whopping 45% of the total e-commerce purchases. Read on to find out how to reach this group of avid shoppers. 🇸🇬 : https://lnkd.in/g2kjdzYQ 🇲🇾 : https://lnkd.in/gNFxGUi6 🇮🇩 : https://lnkd.in/gWiGzmiT 🇹🇭 : https://lnkd.in/gW-wGPRF 🇻🇳 : https://lnkd.in/gKqkqBmv 🇵🇭 : https://lnkd.in/ghN7MXRA #ninjavan #data #datastory #datastorytelling #datavisualisation #eshoppers #eshopaholics #logistics #sea #asean #ecommerce
