Each year at the Governmental Affairs Conference, we proudly host our Signature Networking Reception to honor the members who have stood by us and supported our mission. This event is also an opportunity to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond—those who have not only stood beside us but have rolled up their sleeves and worked tirelessly to help advance our cause. As part of this tradition, we present The Amigo Award--a symbol of camaraderie and steadfast dedication to our organization and its goals. This year, we are proud to honor Emma Hayes, CUDE, CDP, MEd and Creighton P. Blackwell, CIE as the 2025 recipients of the Amigo Award. Their remarkable contributions and impactful commitment exemplify the very essence of this recognition. Please join us in congratulating Emma and Creighton on this well-deserved recognition and thanking them for their incredible work!

  • We are proud to recognize Darla Kolbas, CUDE, CCUFC, Lending Director at Peninsula Credit Union, as the recipient of our scholarship to attend the 2025 Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) in Washington, D.C! Darla is committed to making a meaningful impact in the communities she serves and recognizes GAC as a valuable opportunity to engage with policymakers, collaborate with industry professionals, and advocate for the credit union movement. In her own words: “Thinking about part of this year’s theme, ‘Moving with Strength,’ aligns with my passion of helping members, from all walks of life, build strength for a better financial future.” We look forward to seeing Darla at GAC 2025 and know she will represent the credit union mission with dedication and purpose.
