As we wrap up 2024, I want to thank everyone who made this year a success - the NM Group team, clients, and partners. This year has been about doing what we do best: running large-scale projects for power utilities, extracting and efficiently delivering the best insights geospatial / engineering data can offer, and pushing the boundaries of organically growing a relatively small company with ambitions of further increasing its global presence. Some highlights: ✅ Delivering critically important vegetation risk analysis ahead of schedule without sacrificing quality and accuracy. It’s great to know we actively contribute to wildfire risk prevention from New South Wales to Ontario and many places in between. ✅ Strengthening partnerships with clients. Whether expanding the scope, renewing existing contracts, or signing new agreements, the flywheel is in motion! ✅ I see great work being done at NM Group to roll out ever smarter tools and more effective processes for making data accessible and usable. This happens continuously, both internally and with our customers and partners. But even more than the projects, I’m proud of the people delivering them. Our team has been exceptional, whether going the extra mile for a client, finding creative ways to overcome challenges, or achieving professional development milestones. 2025 is full of opportunities. We had a great experience attending the CEATI Transmission & Distribution conference in Palm Springs. It was a valuable opportunity to connect with utility stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the industry, and it's always a pleasure to share and engage with the latest geospatial and remote sensing technologies. A key takeaway was the growing role of AI-driven solutions in predictive vegetation modeling and asset inspection. These technologies are unlocking new ways to improve efficiency and reliability, and it was exciting to hear how different organizations are embracing these advancements. Another major topic of discussion was the impact of increasingly frequent extreme weather events on aging infrastructure. It was enlightening to get the perspective of so many utility employees who are dealing with the consequences and working hard to design ever-smarter risk reduction and mitigation strategies for the future. At NM Group, we're passionate about providing tailored solutions to help utilities harness geospatial insights and cutting-edge technology to optimize their networks.
