State leaders play a critical role in shaping the future of STEM education, and NMSI is excited to support their efforts. We recently had the privilege of participating in the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) Annual Policy Forum, where the release of A Nation of Problem-Solvers: How State Leaders Can Help Every Student Achieve in Math provided valuable insights into strategies for improving math outcomes across the nation. This report is a vital resource for state leaders looking to implement effective, evidence-based strategies to enhance student success in mathematics. We were especially inspired by its emphasis on high-quality professional development for educators—an essential component for strengthening STEM teaching and learning.
