There are unique #challenges that women face in #trucking and #WIT is a great forum to build collective power, share experiences, and learn something new about other women in the industry, says Mike Roeth in this week’s FleetOwner blog. #Accelerate2024 #Womenintrucking https://lnkd.in/gnueNXeA

Driving the development and adoption of efficiency-enhancing, environmentally beneficial, cost-effective technologies
About us
The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE), works to drive the development and adoption of efficiency enhancing, environmentally beneficial, and cost-effective technologies, services and methodologies in the North American freight industry. An unbiased and fuel-agnostic organization, NACFE communicates the benefits, challenges and the payback of such actions, summarizing the confidence fleets should have in adoption. The Council is an effort for fleets, manufacturers, vehicle builders and other government and nongovernmental organizations coming together to improve North American goods movements. We publish a variety of unbiased reports to support the needs of truck fleets and dealerships. Confidence Reports are designed to deep dive into a subject area and present the results seen by fleets including the benefits as well as the challenges. Guidance Reports focus on new technology areas emerging into commercial vehicle transportation to show the technology growth as well as adoption hurdles. Collaboration reports can be on a wide array of areas where suppliers and industry groups have asked NACFE to work with them on a particular subject. Almost all reports are available in a short executive summary format as well as a full in depth report.

This year, Mike Roeth managed to draw his oldest granddaughter, Makenzie, into the #NACFE fold. If you have not listened to his 100th #podcast, we suggest you do so because you will hear answers to some pretty tough questions posed by Makenzie. nacfe.org/podcast

While we are #grateful for the number of presentations we gave—more than 100—I am equally grateful for how much time the #NACFE staff spends listening so that we can learn new things and also ensure we continue to provide #unbiased information to the industry, says Mike Roeth in this week’s FleetOwner blog. #Thanksgiving https://lnkd.in/gcJby_wT

NACFE and Electrada’s Charging-as-a-Service (#CaaS) Market Research Survey officially closes at the end of the week! Complete the survey before the end of the day Saturday, November 30th. This is your last opportunity to share your experience and thoughts on #electrification, partnering with CaaS and other providers, and how the electrification industry can be more impactful in helping #fleets and others looking to #electrify. Our team will spend the remainder of the year analyzing the survey results and authoring an industry white paper set to publish in the first quarter of 2025. https://lnkd.in/gwdDGdSS

“Have it your way” was an advertising tagline success for Burger King in 1974. It has been a fundamental reality for #fleets ordering #trucks from OEMs for even longer, says Rick Mihelic in his latest CCJ — Commercial Carrier Journal blog. #customization #trucking https://lnkd.in/gyfeKRa7

I was honored to attend and participate in the Shell Energy Symposium 2024 last month in Charlotte, NC. I would like to thank Shell Energy, Shell, and Team Penske for hosting such an insightful event, where we collaborated on ideas and best practices for a sustainable and profitable energy future. The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) is proud to partner with Shell, our fleet partners, and the transportation industry to support a more efficient and sustainable future. Thank you, Jess Saldivar, Kate Jostworth , MS, Jose Quevedo, Celena Friday, MBA, Megan Pino, and NV Energy It was good to see Hitachi Kyle Royal and Thomas Aubee at this event! #Sustainable #Energy #Transportation
A couple of weeks ago, I attended The Shell Energy Symposium 2024 in Charlotte, NC. It was interesting to hear from Shell speakers and its customers about their efforts to de-fossilize/de-carbonize their operations. One of the highlights of The Shell Energy Symposium was the collaboration between Team Penske and Shell which is about performing in a demanding environment. We also learned about Team Penske's efforts to reduce their carbon footprint. We had the chance to learn more about Team Penske's activities and preparations for the races. We were given a tour of their facilities and met Joey Logano's team. I would like to thank Shell Energy for giving me the opportunity to bring DNV's perspective into the discussion. I was honored to be part of the panel: "Sustainability in Action: Driving Toward a Cleaner Future," which Jesse Saldivar did a great job moderating. I learn about the experiences of my co-panelists, Kate Jostworth , MS SCM and Dean Bushey. One of my takeaways from the symposium was that we must form the right partnerships to accelerate de-fossilization/de-carbonization. I guess we could add another "P" to the Shell motto and say Partnerships Powering Progress Together.
