The Rebuild Bidwell Mansion Fund, which we opened yesterday after the devastating fire that destroyed Bidwell Mansion, has been renamed to remove the word "Rebuild." We realize it's early and there are significant questions over whether California State Parks will rebuild the mansion, whether the state had insurance and many other complications. It's early. The intention behind the Bidwell Mansion Fund is to allow citizens a way to support those efforts to commemorate the mansion, whatever that looks like. There are many possibilities besides rebuilding. Whatever is decided, we know community members with fond memories of the mansion want to help. The fund allows our community to be part of that conversation. You can donate to the fund here: https://lnkd.in/gNnFBjBu. #BidwellMansion

We are devastated by the loss of Chico's historic Bidwell Mansion in an overnight fire. Like so many in our community, we are mourning the loss of this iconic piece of our history. The mansion and the historical items inside are irreplaceable, but our memories are not. Photo by Megan Smith #BidwellMansion

In a press release Monday, the Butte County District Attorney's Office warned people about scammers taking advantage of donors via crowdfunding sites. If you have concerns, the DA notes it is safe to give to the Feather River Adventist School Victims Fund here at NVCF at https://lnkd.in/gs7FspcZ. If you'd rather send a check than make an online donation, please make it out to Feather River Adventist School Victims Fund and mail it to: North Valley Community Foundation, 1811 Concord Ave., Suite 220, Chico, CA 95928. #schoolshooting #featherriveradventistschool

Thank you to Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group and its employees in the Chico office for a $5,000 donation to our Wildfire Relief and Recovery Fund. Provost & Pritchard has offices statewide, and each location chooses community charitable programs to support each year. Provost & Pritchard employees Kyler Dill (left), Mallory Serrao (center) and Brice Black (right) dropped off the donation this week to David Little and Morgan Warnock of NVCF. Thank you once again, Provost & Pritchard, for your care and concern for our region. #Gratitude #Donors #Community
