The McClure Miller Respite House is vital to our community and NorthCountry is proud to support their annual Jiggety Jog 5k Run and Walk. Read below on how the event was not only a major success but also a healing reunion for the community.

Salvation Farms is so proud to have NorthCountry Federal Credit Union's partnership! Their 2024 grant funds are directly benefiting youth, families, and seniors across Vermont's Lamoille Valley and Northeast Kingdom by supporting our gleaning program. Thank you, Morgan & Brooke for making the trip to see Salvation Farms work spaces in downtown Morrisville. This past Friday was a huge success with our third annual ITScon hosted by Champlain College's Cyber Club! With over 70 people in attendance; we were able to have 6 student presentations and 4 employer representatives come to our main campus to be able to be a part of an awesome event! Huge thank you for our employer representatives: NorthCountry Federal Credit Union, SymQuest, Open Approach, Inc., and The Leahy Center for coming to the conference to see some amazing student presentations and participate in some networking. And a huge thank you to the CCSC officer team in helping me plan, market, and host such a fun conference. Plus Daniel Hellstern and Noah Beckman for creating the vision and mission of the conference in the first place. We hope to keep it going in the future! Cheers for next year!

Thank you to WCAX-TV for sharing this segment of our Financial Reality Fair. It was a great day. Very appreciative of NorthCountry Federal Credit Union for making this happen.

In addition to all of the volunteers, highlights of our school wide Financial Reality Fair were the students, both past and present. Eight current students had the opportunity to have their voices heard by local reporters about this activity and the importance of financial education. Three of the volunteers just happened to be Winooski School District graduates who returned with NorthCountry Federal Credit Union. I am so grateful for the credit union’s innovative Steps to Success program which has benefited our graduating seniors with employability skills and job offers right after graduation. Seeing these graduates passing on financial knowledge and skills to the next generation of students warmed my heart. Milan Magar is wrapping up his senior year at Champlain College and completing an internship with NorthCountry. His goal is to increase access to financial information, particularly to our new American community. David Klinker is also a student at Champlain, runs his own business and works in NorthCountry’s marketing department. I am excited to see the video he produces of this event. Hoang Thien Nguyen was able to transition from the Steps to Success program to a part-time job as a teller with NorthCountry, while also studying Accounting at Community College of Vermont. I am so excited for our seniors who will participate in the program this summer and to see where it will take them.
