Last week marked our last Waste Stewardship Working Group meeting! This past year, I was honored to lead such a dynamic and participatory group from folks across the University. The Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) recently launched a new and improved Design Guide for Plastics Recyclability. Widely recognized as the authority on how to design plastics packaging that will actually be recycled into new products, the APR Design® Guide sets the industry-accepted criteria to ensure that packaging adds value to the commodity streams at local MRFs and reclaimers.
