I had the amazing opportunity of presenting my research at the 2024 ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition this past week, titled “Hookah Smoking Amongst Arab Americans: Cultural Attitudes and Challenges in Culturally Competent Healthcare.” I want to sincerely thank Dr. Benita Bamgbade, PharmD, PhD for all of her guidance and mentorship throughout the work on this project. It was a wonderful experience both to share our research with others in the pharmacy world, and to see other students’ research and hard work. #ASHP #midyear

Ryan Murray, PhD’24, cut his own path to developing an emerging gene-edited cell therapy that could one day personalize treatment for disease. After completing his Industry PhD in Stephen Hatfield's lab, he co-founded KiraGen Bio. “I never thought I’d be an entrepreneur.
