A big thank you to all our fostering friendly members, colleagues and foster carers who attended the fostering friendly Christmas networking earlier this week at the Iron Foundation’s hub at the Attis Arena. The morning was a chance to get together and celebrate the impact our fostering friendly scheme has been having on the whole fostering community in North Lincolnshire, welcome new and prospective members and talk about collaborations for 2025. The Iron Foundation kindly offered their community room for the event and the hub is a multi-purpose space that is wheelchair accessible, with free parking. If you’d like to find out more about being fostering friendly and a part of our fostering community, visit our website here: https://lnkd.in/e5DJ7vet #Fostering

North Lincolnshire’s successful solar energy project is expanding!🚀 Following the success of last year’s share offer, which raised £576,000, the Council and North Lincolnshire Community Energy (NLCE) are launching a new community share offer. This is the chance for residents to invest in clean, renewable energy that benefits local schools, community hubs, and even Scunthorpe United Football Club. Since 2022, the project has: ✅ Installed 3,900 solar panels on 18 sites, including 11 schools, John Leggott College, The Baths Hall, Ashby Hub, and Scunthorpe United Football Club. ✅ Saved more than one million tonnes of carbon. ✅ Reduced energy bills by £57,000 from January to September 2024 alone. This next stage aims to bring clean energy to even more key sites, including Kingfisher Lodge Children’s Home and Lindsey Lodge Hospice. You can invest from as little as £50 and own a stake in the future of renewable energy in North Lincolnshire. As well as earning 5% return on their investment, share holders will be supporting local schools, children’s homes, and community buildings with cheaper energy bills and reduced carbon emissions. The share offer closes on 28 February 2025 (or earlier if shares sell out). 👉 Find out more at https://nlce.coop/ Energy4All Ltd #OneGreenFuture #GreenInvestment #NLCE #Solar
