Ahmed, MD, FRCSC. Surgical prowess aside, Dr. Ahmed is an avid collaborator with industry and is constantly pushing the envelope in terms of what ophthalmic technology can achieve. 💫 Meet our Advisory Board Members: Mary Qiu 💫 We’re thrilled to spotlight Dr. Mary Qiu, a talented glaucoma and cataract surgeon, with expertise in the management of complex surgical glaucoma and a passion for teaching.   Dr. Qiu is widely published in the peer-reviewed literature and enjoys lecturing both in the US and internationally on her favorite topics of neovascular glaucoma, glaucoma surgical techniques, and surgical glaucoma education for trainees. She loves creating and sharing glaucoma surgical videos, has won the American Glaucoma Society (AGS) surgical video competition multiple times, and serves as a series editor for surgical videos for AJO Case Reports and Glaucoma Physician. During her early career at the University of Chicago, she revamped the resident glaucoma rotation with an emphasis on early surgical experience and is proud to have sent one resident per year to top glaucoma fellowships including Duke, Wilmer, and with Dr. Ike Ahmed. She also served as a clinical preceptor and research mentor to medical students, many of whom have been inspired to pursue ophthalmology residency. This fall, she brings her unwavering commitment to glaucoma education and dedication to caring for patients with complex surgical glaucoma to the Cole Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Qiu completed her glaucoma fellowship at Cole in 2019 and is thrilled to be back as the Associate Program Director of the Glaucoma Fellowship – and Nova Eye is thrilled to be able to partner with Dr. Qiu on a number of clinical and product development programs via the Nova Eye Medical Advisory Board. #iTrackAdvance #novaeye #novaeyemedical
