A #Thanksgiving message from #NSBA President & CEO Todd McCracken: “According to the National Turkey Federation, small family farmers produce more than 210 million turkeys every year. With an estimated 46 million turkeys consumed annually in the U.S. on Thanksgiving, chances are you'll be sitting down with yet another example how central #SmallBusiness is to every part of our society. While I'm always glad to talk turkey (sorry), I am most thankful this holiday to be a part of the small-business community - particularly humbled by the generosity and leadership of our members. New federal rules and constant changes to #regulations are always moving the goal posts for success, but it is through the steadfast efforts of our #members and partners that NSBA has found and continues to drive change with #Congress and the #WhiteHouse. You can read more about our current Priority Issues and advancements of our working initiatives to support small business on our site: NSBAadvocate.org We have much work ahead of us for the 119th Session of Congress, and I am grateful to be pursuing better opportunities for NSBA members and all small-business owners together.” Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m honored to announce my role on the Leadership Council of the National Small Business Association (NSBA), America’s oldest advocacy organization for small businesses. With over 80 years of history, the NSBA has a proven track record of impact, providing a non-partisan voice for millions of small-business owners and employees nationwide. Over a decade ago, I worked in the U.S. Senate and with several think tanks focused on international affairs and public policy; however, I left government and policy work to become more hands-on and experienced with business growth. Since then, I’ve built a career in custom growth consulting and marketing agency services, working across two dozen industries and with hundreds of companies personally. This combination of policy experience and entrepreneurial insight has given me a clear grasp of the common challenges small businesses face: regulatory complexity, access to resources, out of touch bureaucracy, broken procurement programs, inconsistent tax policy and the obstacles to scaling and innovation. The NSBA was founded during the Great Depression to unite small-business owners with a shared purpose of influencing policies that promote growth and opportunity. It has since grown into a powerful advocate, with initiatives like the Small Business Congress and the Washington Presentation ensuring that the concerns of small businesses are heard directly by policymakers. As a member of the Leadership Council, my goal is to connect the challenges I’ve seen firsthand with actionable solutions at the federal level. I want to ensure that small-business owners have the tools, resources, and fair policies they need to thrive in a competitive and evolving economy. I encourage other business leaders to get involved, too, if they feel a calling to support American small business. Organizations like the NSBA succeed because of the collective power of engaged entrepreneurs. If there are specific concerns or barriers your business is facing, I’d be glad to help bring them forward and ensure they’re part of the conversation. #SmallBusiness #NSBA https://lnkd.in/exxNrkfv

Rounding out November, the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) is recognizing #NativeAmerican Heritage Month and the immeasurable contributions the first Americans made, and continue to make, to the development and success of the United States. Each year during this important month, the nation honors the #heritage and traditions of these diverse cultures and communities. In 2023, the nation's American Indian and Alaska Native population stood at 7.4 million, according to the most recent U.S. Census data. To honor their legacy, #EXIM President and Chair Reta Jo Lewis, Esq. is presenting a special message from EXIM.
