NSVRC, the national division of Respect Together, is in the process of reviewing and updating our website and because of that, some resources are not available on the site. All resources are still available upon request. Respect Together is aware of the executive orders but has not received official guidance on how they will directly impact us. We remain committed to our mission: to work to eliminate all forms of sexual violence and to advocate for the rights and needs of victims of sexual assault.

This week has proved just how powerful our movement is. When the federal funding freeze threatened critical resources on Tuesday, you spoke out, showed up, and stood with us. Together, our voices played a role in the funding freeze being rescinded. We are especially grateful to those who donated and to the incredible rape crisis center staff and advocates who spoke with the media to highlight the urgency of this issue. Seeing our community rise to the occasion showed the strength and dedication of this movement We also know that this is not the end of our fight. Due to decreased VOCA funding, so many of our partners at state coalitions, rape crisis centers, and hotlines are still struggling. Let’s keep the energy we demonstrated on Tuesday throughout the year and make 2025 a period of continued advocacy for survivors and those who serve them. Together, we can continue to make a difference in our communities and combat sexual abuse, assault, and harassment. In Solidarity, NSVRC
Your Voice Makes a Difference—And Is Still Needed This week, we were blown away by the outpouring of support in response to the federal funding freeze crisis. Thanks to you—those who shared our posts, donated, and spoke out—organizations serving survivors and working to prevent sexual abuse, assault, and harassment were heard. A special thank you to the dedicated rape crisis center staff and advocates who took to the media to shed light on this urgent issue. Together, our voices played a role in the funding freeze being rescinded. While this is a victory, the reality is that many organizations still face deep uncertainty and significant funding challenges. Your continued support is more important than ever. Let’s keep showing up, speaking out, and standing with survivors. Share. Donate. Advocate. Stay engaged. #SupportSurvivors Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect & National Sexual Violence Resource Center

Over the past several years, we have seen a dramatic decrease in funding for programs and organizations working in the anti-sexual violence movement. The recent federal funding freeze has the potential to impact state, local, and national organizations doing the much-needed work for survivors across the country. While we do not know what our future holds, we do know our partners at coalitions, rape crisis centers, and hotlines will struggle to operate without federal support. Organizations working to support survivors and prevent sexual abuse, assault, and harassment are critical to the safety and well-being of our communities. In these uncertain times, there is one way you can help: DONATE. Survivors and advocates working on their behalf have never needed our support more. Consider donating to your local rape crisis center or the coalitions working in your state or territory. We appreciate those who are moved to support our partners aiding survivors in communities impacted by disasters (like the fires currently raging in Southern California), by making a donation. Federal Funding Pause: A Critical Moment for Survivors Recent news about a federal funding freeze has raised grave concerns about its impact on organizations that serve survivors of sexual violence and work to prevent sexual abuse, assault, and harassment. At Respect Together we remain committed to our mission to uplift and empower those who need it most. Did you know? Hotlines, counseling, crisis services, victim support, and prevention programs rely heavily on federal funds. With resources at an all-time low, community-based organizations need your help now more than ever to keep their doors open and ensure every survivor who reaches out to them can connect with an advocate who is trained to support them. ✨ Here’s How You Can Help: ✅ Support local and state organizations serving survivors. ✅ Spread awareness about this critical funding issue. ✅ Consider donating to help sustain vital services. We know this is a challenging time. But together, we can make a difference for survivors and the organizations that support them. Thank you for standing with Respect Together, Pennsylvania Coalition to Advance Respect, National Sexual Violence Resource Center, and our partners across the county. A $25 donation can provide services like legal assistance, financial support in disasters, policy advocacy, and crucial resources for those in need https://lnkd.in/g5u2Hv8N

What a great booklist to get us started in 2025!
To take a stand and speak publicly about areas in which a workplace failed or outright harmed their employees is incredibly brave and has the potential to inspire change across industries. This week, we’re amplifying a few books about the whistleblowers who used their voice against sexist workplaces and cultures.
