The Office of Workforce Transformation’s mission is to grow Ohio’s economy by developing a skilled workforce, promoting effective training programs, and connecting Ohio employers with qualified workers. Recognizing both the importance of improving Ohio’s workforce development system and the enormity of the challenge, the Office of Workforce Transformation (OWT) was created. The Governor’s Executive Workforce Board was also created to guide the OWT in its work, ensuring that business needs are at the forefront of improvements made to the workforce system. aiEDU.org is ready to build on our work in Ohio! 🚀🚀 Today we’re excited to share a grant from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and an ongoing partnership with the Ohio Educational Service Center Association (OESCA) that will propel AI Literacy and AI Readiness across the state. This will work include continuing our deep work in the state, which began in May 2020 with a pilot program in Akron Public Schools . Since then, aiEDU has hosted numerous statewide summits for teachers and school system leaders. That work continues — along with additional professional development and work to build AI Readiness.
