TLDR: Omnity has the ability to connect Bitcoin Layer 2s trustlessly, enhancing Bitcoin’s scalability while alleviating congestion and high fees on the Bitcoin network with zero offchain components. Omnity is built on the Internet Computer (ICP) built by DFINITY. The combination of ICP’s unique Chain Fusion Technology and the Omnity development team (formerly Octopus Network) years of intense development experience in interoperability, specifically with IBC (Inter-Blockchain Communication), has resulted in what very well could be the world’s first 100% onchain, crosschain hub with fungible token persistence, instant finality, seamless user experience and negligible fees (even when reading/writing to the Bitcoin network.)
