The origins of the Church are rooted in small gatherings of believers in people’s homes to worship, encourage, and share the Gospel. This vision of intentional community carries over from the early days of the Church, but it’s true that there are unique complexities to bringing people together in an intentional way in our modern world.Small groups have come a long way since they first gained popularity in their current form in the modern-day church. As church leaders, it’s important to provide guidance and support to help your church’s small groups be an effective aspect of your ministry, guiding people into deeper study of God’s Word and deeper community. As you seek to help more people join a group and support the leaders of those groups, here are a few tips for designing and supporting effective small groups that you won’t want to skip: https://lnkd.in/gRN3tWUF

Decorations are up, your Christmas sermon planning is in full swing, and in the midst of all the organizing and planning you have one more thing on your mind—end-of-year giving. 31% of charitable giving happens in December because for many donors this is the last chance to get their giving reflected on this year’s taxes, and for companies their fiscal year often ends in December. Anywhere you look this time of year, it’s common to see organizations putting together one big push for donations before January 1. However, churches and church leaders can often feel deterred from talking about this topic too much for fear of being pushy, seeming ungrateful, or to focus on other important reminders during the holiday season. While we want to be intentional about how we talk about finances, we also have a responsibility to think and talk about end-of-year giving in a way that honors our church’s mission and doesn’t let this opportunity go unnoticed. Here are a few tips on how to approach end-of-year giving: https://buff.ly/3sZUYLF

1 out of 5 adults in the United States are planning on going to church for Christmas. While Easter still beats out Christmas for attendance, we can't ignore the host of first-time guests, family members, and members of the community who will come through our doors. As you think about how to best serve this increase in attendees consider the information they will need to access: ⭐️ Digital Bulletin ⭐️ Program ⭐️ Child Check-In Form ⭐️ Welcome Form ⭐️ Upcoming Events and Calendar The majority of these resources require pulling up a website and multiple clicks to find. Instead of making guests stumble through that cumbersome process, using QR codes can quickly and easily direct people to the information they need. By optimizing how people access information and resources when visiting your church, you can improve their overall experience and allow them to focus on the reason why they are there — to celebrate the birth of Christ!
