We take sustainability very seriously. At this stage of the game, it's crucial that we all take seriously the need for sustainable product packaging solutions for all of our customers in packaged goods verticals. As the global leader in polymer thermoforming and automation, BMG has been hard at work helping our partners with sustainable solutions for their customers’ needs. We have been discovering and vetting new ways to be green without sacrificing function in response to the growing demand for recyclable, eco-friendly product packaging. As a viable material solution, polypropylene has been a highly sought-after material for thermoforming processes. Many manufacturers are switching to this cost-effective, highly recyclable material, especially in food packaging. Polypropylene has long been approved for food contact by the FDA, offers incredible design flexibility, and is known worldwide for its durability and lasting performance. All of these factors have led manufacturers to migrate to this material to be part of a more carbon-neutral future that has had a lasting positive impact on their ROI. Many manufacturers are forever lost in the switching matrix, trying to weigh the cost of migrating to Polypropylene and how it will affect the bottom line. The pros and cons are self-evident. Let's look at what it takes to transition to a Polypropylene environment. Read more at https://shorturl.at/BUq7P #OneBMG #ShapingNext #Polypropylene #Economical #Recyclable #FoodPackaging

Employee Spotlight: A little bit about those who make us great! Leonard Grice - Beaverton, Michigan, USA Leonard is a homebody, meat and potatoes kind of guy who loves the intrigue of automobiles and the mechanics that drive them. As a younger man, he had visions of being a race engine builder, but instead, he has found his opportunity for success in being a parts acquisition specialist for the items necessary to build high-end BMG thermoforming machines. He has been a dog lover all of his life, and although he currently lives without the companionship of a four-legged friend, he still looks forward to the weekends when he can chase the little white balls around the golf course. He is a Michigan fan through and through, be it the Lions or the Wolverines; he is always at the ready to support his teams and had a pretty good year this time around being an avid fan. As part of that fandom, he plans a visit to the University of Michigan next year so that he can take a tour of the Ann Arbor campus, which will definitely include the football stadium. Although early in his career at BMG, he has finally been afforded the opportunity to apply his degree to his professional life and really enjoys it. In his current capacity as a buyer, he looks at every day as an opportunity for growth and intrigue. #OneBMG #ShapingNext #EmployeeSpotlight #TeamBMG

Be the solution ahead of the storm. Performing preventative maintenance is easy when you have all the parts you need. One of the biggest hurdles in modern-day thermoforming manufacturing is eliminating downtime. Make sure you keep a good inventory of the necessary wear items on your shelves so you can be the hero when it comes to keeping everything up and running in a fast-paced production environment. Planning and executing preventative measures keep you and your equipment out of harm’s way, and getting that process to work for you means keeping what you need at no more than an arm’s length away. Take advantage of BMG’s vast global parts supply network so you’ll be prepared when the time comes. At BMG, we aim to help you minimize your downtime by getting the parts you need as quickly as possible. Rest assured, if we don’t have it, we’ll get it; if we can’t get it, we’ll make it. #OneBMG #ShapingNext #PreventativeMaintentance #Thermoforming #GlobalSupplyNetwork
