This dynamic space offers an interactive exhibit that showcases practical ways to make our planet healthier and more sustainable. LEED Innovation credits and pilot credits help project teams align with an organization's missions, values, and goals with tools to track metrics for existing practices and refine current policies. In the latest form USGBC+, #LEED Fellow Heather DeGrella details the strategies used to meet human health and wellness goals. "Health-focused credits in LEED offer teams many ways to promote physical, mental and social well-being outcomes. With so many to choose from, I have found it incredibly helpful to establish specific health goals tailored to a project, early in the design process, to guide the team in making intentional selection of credits." - Heather DeGrella, Opsis Architecture https://bit.ly/4cI55Wg

We are excited to share I+S Design Magazine’s latest feature on the Redmond Senior & Community Center, which highlights our collaboration with Johnston Architects on this new facility that centers wellness and nature in its design. The center, designed to achieve LEED Gold, replaces the former Senior Center and offers amenities and public spaces, such as a dedicated lounge and library tailored to Redmond's seniors, while also providing community and recreational facilities for all ages. The building integrates wellness through thoughtful design elements, ranging from color schemes and lighting fixtures tailored to an aging population to exercise amenities like the gymnasium and raised walk/jog track. It also supports sustainability through energy-efficient systems and celebrates local arts and culture with integrated art both inside and outside the center.
