We're Hiring: Junior Software Engineer We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer that will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex software systems including processing-intensive analytics to real-time systems. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, maintain, and enhance diverse software systems based on documented requirements. • Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements, ensuring top-notch quality. • Resolve software problem reports efficiently to keep our systems running smoothly. • Utilize appropriate software development methodologies to meet project objectives effectively. Qualifications: • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Software Engineer, with a focus on similar scope, type, and complexity of projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline required; equivalent experience may be considered. • Proficiency in Java, Gitlab, and scripting languages such as Python and Bash. • Experience with MySQL, developing on both Windows and Linux environments. • Familiarity with web application development in Python and Java. Nice-to-Have: • Networking experience for developing software-defined networking applications. • Experience with Cisco products and Docker. • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Jira/Gitlab integration (teachable skills). We're Hiring: Windows System Administrator We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to support our Human Resource Applications and Services organization. You'll manage Windows servers for Language Aptitude and Psychological Assessment labs, ensuring smooth operations and security. Responsibilities include: • Management, maintenance, and security of network infrastructure and servers for Windows 10/11 machines. • Set up, install the operating system, configure, and maintain Windows servers to ensure they are operating efficiently and securely; to include Active Directory management, network security, networking monitoring and troubleshooting. • Diagnose and resolve server-related issues, such as outages and application errors. • Install, configure, and maintain software applications that run on the servers. Ensuring compatibility, updates, and proper functionality. • Implement security measures such as firewalls, regular security patches, and updates to safeguard the servers. Qualifications: • A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and fifteen (15) years of system administration experience. Twenty (20) years of SA experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. • Knowledge of WSUS and networking switch programming. • Strong documentation skills. Interested? We are looking for a Junior Developer for an Enterprise-wide initiative to build certified, trusted applications for critical mission data. This is part of a high-visibility project where your contributions will shape daily operations across the organization. If you or someone you know might be interested, let us know! Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior developers to review and optimize code. Brainstorm ideas for code base improvements. Develop full stack features and applications. Utilize technologies like Oracle, NodeJS, Angular, and Express for web development. Implement GitLab CI/CD scripts to automate code deployment and testing. Integrate applications with relational databases and SQL (Oracle). Create containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes for deployment in an AWS cloud environment. Incorporate unit, integration, and regression testing methodologies. Provide useful feedback to team members and stakeholders. Work individually on large projects with minimal direction. Requirements: Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Git, and Linux. Experience with testing methodologies such as Selenium and Cypress. Knowledge of project management tools like JIRA and Confluence. Location: Laurel Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of experience in software development/engineering.
