🚨 Congress moves to extend Advanced APM incentives and address other health priorities 🚨 Late yesterday, Congressional leaders announced an agreement on an end-of-year continuing resolution (CR) that temporarily extends government funding through March 14, 2025. The CR also addresses many of NAACOS' top legislative priorities, detailed below. Congress is expected to pass the CR and send it to the President to be signed into law in the coming days. ☑️ Advanced APMs—Extends Medicare’s Advanced APM Incentives for one additional year at 3.53 percent and maintains current qualifying threshold for performance year 2025. 🩺Physician Pay—Mitigates most of Medicare’s 2.8 percent physician payment cuts by adjusting the conversion factor by 2.5 percent beginning in January 2025. 💻 Telehealth—Extends many of Medicare’s public health emergency telehealth flexibilities for 2 additional years. 🛏️ Hospital @ Home—Extends Medicare’s Acute Hospital at Home Program for 5 additional years. ⚕️ Medicare Extenders— Mitigates cuts to disproportionate share hospitals, extends funding for community health centers, reauthorizes mental health/ substance use disorder programs, along with other extenders and reforms to pharmacy benefits managers (PBMs).
