“What makes this particularly striking is that the challenge isn’t primarily medical—it’s informational. The knowledge exists in the hospital system, scattered across hundreds of notes, lab results, and medication orders. But synthesizing this information into a coherent narrative that serves both clinical and patient needs has proven remarkably difficult. Current approaches often task the most junior doctors with this crucial responsibility, leading to predictably inconsistent results.” Read our CEOs vision for the future of healthcare: https://lnkd.in/e4Vsp_id
About us
OrbDoc builds AI-powered clinical documentation solutions that help physicians spend more time with patients and less on paperwork. Today, clinicians spend up to 50% of their time on documentation, while preventable readmissions cost the US healthcare system $52 billion annually. We're focused on transforming this reality. Our mobile-first platform reduces discharge documentation time from 30 minutes to just 3 minutes through intuitive voice capture and AI assistance. The technology recognizes medical terminology, automates clinical coding, and integrates seamlessly with existing EHR systems. Working directly with hospital systems and clinicians, we're developing solutions that cut documentation time in half while improving coding accuracy. This means physicians can see more patients daily while reducing readmission risks that typically cost $15,000 per event. Our platform handles medication reconciliation and creates clear discharge instructions, helping ensure safer care transitions. We build every feature in close collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring our technology fits seamlessly into clinical workflows while meeting the highest standards of security and compliance. Every hospital has brilliant doctors and nurses. They’ve spent years mastering their craft. But skill alone isn’t enough. Without strong leadership, things fall apart. — Communication breaks down. — Errors increase. — Patients pay the price. Leadership in healthcare isn’t about titles. It’s about action. The best leaders: ✅ Make complex decisions under pressure. ✅ Keep teams aligned and focused. ✅ Step in when things go wrong—and fix them. A great doctor saves lives. A great leader makes sure the whole system works. What do you think makes a great leader in healthcare? #medicalleadership #hospitalmanagement #healthcarestrategy

At LifeLong Medical Care, I see firsthand how Community Health Centers (CHCs) provide essential care that keeps people healthy and strengthens our communities. Nationally, CHCs serve 1 in 10 Americans, offering comprehensive, affordable services that prevent costly emergency visits and hospitalizations. Yet, despite their impact, they account for just 1% of total healthcare spending—a model of efficiency that benefits everyone. Yes, just 1%! To continue this vital work, Community Health Centers need sustainable funding. An investment in primary care is a solid one—it keeps people healthier, reduces overall healthcare costs, and ensures that care remains available to all who need it. This means ensuring Medicaid reimbursement covers not just primary care, but also specialty care, dental care, behavioral health, and pharmacy services. Health Centers serve everyone—and save everyone resources in the long run. At LifeLong, we are committed to ensuring they have the support necessary to continue their mission of accessible, high-quality care for all. #LifeLongProud #InvestInCHCs #CommunityHealth #FQHCs
As the House and Senate leadership continue their deliberations on the FY 2025 budget resolutions, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) urges Congress to seriously consider the impact of proposed cuts to Medicaid on safety-net programs. Fifty percent of Community Health Center (CHC) patients (16 million of 32.5 million served nationwide) rely on Medicaid and have few other options for healthcare coverage. CHCs have a strong track record of delivering substantial savings to the health care system, including Medicaid, by providing affordable, effective primary care and reducing utilization of higher cost settings, such as Emergency Departments. NACHC urges lawmakers to oppose any cuts to Medicaid that would impact access to essential health services for millions of Americans. We are encouraged by statements from President Trump and Speaker Johnson that the most damaging proposals regarding Medicaid have been taken off the table. NACHC will continue to engage both sides of the aisle to understand how proposed changes to Medicaid will impact CHCs, patients, and healthcare costs. CHCs and Medicaid work together to make Americans healthy, and it is essential for lawmakers to protect Medicaid benefits for those who rely on the program for access to primary and preventive care. The Cost of Disorganization in Healthcare Hospitals generate endless records, charts, consult notes, labs. But when time is tight, things get missed. Notes stay incomplete, discharge summaries lack key details, and coders scramble to make sense of fragmented documentation. What does that cost? More billing delays, more denied claims, and more frustration for physicians already stretched thin. AI isn’t here to “revolutionize” healthcare. It’s here to do something simple, bring order to the chaos. With AI-assisted documentation, clinicians spend less time hunting down missing details and more time where it matters—making informed decisions, improving care, and moving cases forward. 📊 Hospitals using AI-powered documentation see: ✔ Faster claim processing ✔ Fewer missing signatures ✔ Lower risk of reimbursement loss When documentation flows naturally, hospitals don’t just save time—they save money. How does your team handle documentation bottlenecks? Let’s talk. 🔗 Read more: www.orbdoc.com/blog #healthcareefficiency #medtech #hospitalworkflow

💡 The Hidden Cost of Incomplete Documentation In healthcare, every note tells a story. Yet, billions are lost each year because crucial details slip through the cracks. It’s not just revenue, it’s the missed opportunity to enhance patient care, empower teams, and elevate hospital performance. The problem isn’t just about capturing more; it’s about capturing what matters—accurately, efficiently, and seamlessly. Imagine a system where every detail is recorded in real-time, reducing errors and ensuring that no charge is left behind. This isn’t about fancy features or buzzwords. It’s about clarity. It’s about transforming documentation from a burden into a powerful tool for care and growth. At OrbDoc, we believe technology should amplify human skill, not complicate it. That’s why we’re building AI that lets clinicians focus on patients, not paperwork. It’s not about working harder—it’s about working smarter. How is your organization tackling the cost of incomplete documentation? Let’s challenge the status quo. 🔗 Discover how OrbVoice is redefining documentation: www.orbdoc.com #healthcare #revenuecycle #clinicalworkflow #OrbVoice #healthtech #medicalinnovation #patientcare

A really important article by Stephen Gilbert, Rasmus Adler, Taras Holoyad, and Eva Weicken on the practical considerations of model cards as it pertains to the information that both patients and providers need to know to gain trust in an AI solution. In order for this to happen we need for model cards to reflect how a model is applied in practice and ensure it is a "living" document that is updated regularly with information that is understandable to the intended end user as the authors conclude. This can't be done without proper monitoring. I firmly agree with one of the core conclusions of the piece, that "Model Card[s] [are] only as good as the verifiable deeper meaning of the information [they] summarize". Access to high-quality multi-institutional data sets and local validation is a key step for this to happen. If you are at #HIMSS next week and are looking for data partners, ways to validate locally, starting to fill out a model card, or wondering how you can start using applied model cards in your procurement process, let's connect!

Did you know that 30% of FQHCs have 90 days or less of cash! Any cuts to Medicaid risks shutting the doors of many safety net providers and emergency rooms will get flooded, commercial premiums will go up, and everyone will pay more for healthcare. Not to mention, the most compromised people will be hurt the most.

A tennis player doesn’t win championships because of a high-tech racquet. They win because of skill, strategy, and experience—the racquet just helps them execute at a higher level. Healthcare works the same way. Clinicians don’t need more complex AI features—they need technology that actually supports their judgment, streamlines workflows, and unifies scattered information. The real problem isn’t a lack of medical knowledge or computing power—it’s fragmentation. 🏥 Instead of overwhelming clinicians with more data, we should focus on: ✅ Synthesizing information into a coherent patient story ✅ Reducing administrative burden, not adding to it ✅ Making healthcare location-independent without sacrificing quality The goal isn’t to replace clinical expertise with AI—it’s to enhance it. The difference between good and great healthcare technology comes down to one thing: does it make the doctor’s job easier or harder?
