As we head into the holidays, we want to pause and express gratitude to the incredible employees, partners and customers who make Orchid what it is. You enable us to ultimately support patients around the world. Here are some facts about how we make an impact: 🔹More than 1 million total knee replacements are performed annually in the U.S., making it one of the most common surgical procedures. 🔹Nearly 500,000 hip replacements are performed annually in the U.S. 🔹A typical orthopedic surgery may require 4–6 trays of surgical instruments, with each tray containing 40–60 tools. The meticulous design and precision of each instrument are critical for ensuring a successful procedure. 🔹Orthopedic surgeries often rely on reusable trials to determine implant sizing before final placement. These instruments undergo sterilization and reuse multiple times, highlighting the importance of durability and precision in their manufacturing. 🔹A single trauma surgery may involve 10–20 screws or more, depending on the complexity of the fracture. Plates and nails are designed to stabilize bones while allowing for natural healing and weight-bearing. 🔹Every orthopedic surgery requires the use of multiple cutting tools, such as rasps, blades and drills. Orthopedic surgeries are a masterclass in teamwork, preparation, and innovation. From implants to instruments, every component plays a critical role in ensuring patients get back on their feet. #OrthopedicFacts #OrthopedicImpacts

We design processes with the end in mind to deliver finished devices to orthopedic OEMs. Why is this important? 🔹 Many supply chains stop at a raw cast, forged, or 3D-printed part, leaving OEMs to handle bone in-growth coating application, machining and finishing. 🔹 At Orchid, we design with the end in mind, leveraging our full ecosystem to minimize required post-processing and deliver high-quality, ready-to-use devices. 🔹Our bone in-growth coating and 3D printed lattice structures ensure that OEMs can achieve any porous structure they need for their cementless devices, while simplifying processes The result? Devices that meet the highest standards of quality and performance, delivered seamlessly to the people who need them most. #DesignWithTheEndInMind #Orthopedics #ManufacturingLeadership #Innovation www.orchid-ortho.com
