🎉We're in the News!🎉 Thrilled to announce Oscorp Energy's graduation from Founder Institute (Australia & New Zealand)’s (FI) Pre-Seed Accelerator alongside six other promising startups across ANZ! The journey has been intense, enlightening, and incredibly rewarding. A huge shout-out to the fellow founders (Naveen, Akbar, Saurabh, Pouya, Jam, Ruoyi) who inspired me every step of the way, tackling challenges with passion and resilience. Immense gratitude to our FI mentors (all of them) and the amazing FI leadership team, especially Paul and Benjamin, whose guidance and expertise helped shape our vision and strengthen our purpose. Your support has been invaluable in laying the foundation for Oscorp Energy's mission to drive a sustainable circular economy through advanced battery recycling. ♻️🔋 Finally, to the brilliant Oscorp Energy team (Kathleen, Chris, David, Noureddine, and Josh) — this milestone is a testament to your dedication and hard work. Together, we’re on a path to make a real impact, turning a critical challenge into an opportunity to recover resources and protect the environment. Thank you to FI for this experience, and congrats to all the graduates! Here’s to many more milestones ahead! 🌱💪 . . . . #OscorpEnergy #FounderInstitute #SustainableFuture #CircularEconomy #BatteryRecycling #Startups #Impact https://lnkd.in/eaqi6zvV

Just finished reading the paper "Recycling lithium-ion batteries from electric vehicles" by Gavin Harper, Paul Christensen et al., in Nature. The paper emphasises the looming challenge as millions of EV batteries approach EOL in the coming decade. What stood out to me in the paper was the focus on automating battery disassembly to improve efficiency, reduce human risk, and lower recycling costs. Robotic systems are being piloted to handle complex disassembly tasks, but challenges arise due to the lack of standardisation in battery design and the need for more advanced AI and computer vision capabilities. The potential for robotics to improve material separation and make recycling economically viable is exciting, but there’s still significant progress to be made in this area. This aligns perfectly with our vision for Oscorp Energy, where we’re working to build an automated, self-sustaining recycling facility that addresses these challenges head-on. Hats off to Gavin Harper, Paul Christensen and their team for advancing this critical area of research and pointing the way toward a more sustainable future! . . . . #EVRecycling #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #LithiumIonBatteries #Innovation #oscorpenergy

According to the report by the Electric Vehicle Council, EVs represent approximately only 1% of the total light vehicle fleet in Australia. It is estimated there are now over 180,000 EVs on Australian roads, with over 80% of Australia’s EV fleet made up of BEVs. Although we are heading in the right direction, with 99% of Australia’s light vehicle fleet still to be transitioned, there is clearly still more work to be done. . . . . #BatteryRecycling #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #GreenEnergy #OscorpEnergy #RecycledBatteries #ResourceRecovery
