The Old Town Fairfax Business Association announces a significant changes in our organization’s leadership. After four years of dedicated service, Joshua Alexander President, and 20 months of unwavering commitment Tess Rollins, Executive Director and 2024 Chair of the Asian Festival on Main, have decided to step down from their respective roles at the Old Town Fairfax Business Association (OTFBA). Josh will remain on the OTFBA Board of Directors. Tess will be relocating out of the state to begin a new chapter, after her husband Dan’s retirement from federal government service.
Josh and Tess have been instrumental in advancing our mission and serving our community. Under their leadership, the OTFBA become a recognized organization representing businesses in the Old Town Fairfax Historic District and provided opportunities to showcase them both in and out of the City of Fairfax. Their energy, passion, and vision have greatly contributed to our success, and we are immensely grateful for their contributions.
As we navigate this transition, our Board of Directors has initiated a search for new leadership to continue building on the solid foundation laid by Josh and Tess. We are confident that our organization will remain steadfast in our mission and continue to thrive during this period of change. We have begun this new chapter for the OTFBA by appointing John Rodas, owner of Old Dominion Pizza Company as the Interim OTFBA President until such time that formal elections can be conducted. In the upcoming weeks, the Board of Directors will define the role of the Executive Director position and designate a Search Committee for the task of identifying candidates.
We want to assure our supporters, partners, and the communities that OTFBA’s commitment to the mission remains the priority. We will keep you informed of any further developments and appreciate your ongoing support and understanding during this time.
Please join us in extending our heartfelt thanks to Josh and Tess for their exceptional service and wishing them all the best in their respective future endeavors, and welcome John to his new leadership role, as the OTFBA embarks on a strategic planning process.
