🚨 Urgent Update 🚨 Oxfam is sounding the alarm on the catastrophic impact of USAID’s recent funding cuts to life-saving projects in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These cuts will leave millions of people without the essential aid they depend on for survival. As Oxfam RDC’s Country Director, Manenji Mangundu, explains: “The immediate consequences will be devastating for those already facing a humanitarian crisis in DRC. Agencies will have no choice but to make heartbreaking decisions about who receives help, and who is left to suffer.” From food and water to vital medical services, these cuts put over 1 million lives at risk. Diseases like cholera, measles, and mpox will spread rapidly, threatening even more lives. The situation is dire, and urgent action is needed.
