In Africa, women and girls disproportionately bear the brunt of unpaid care work that limit their potential. To address these critical issues, Oxfam and partners from #Nigeria, #Niger, #Zimbabwe and #SouthAfrica showcased their efforts to eliminate #GenderBasedViolence and promote justice for care workers through a marketplace event. Discussions focused on advocating for the rights and protection of care workers across Africa, with highlights including stakeholder dialogues in Zimbabwe, storytelling and advocacy in Niger, educational initiatives for people with disabilities in Zimbabwe, policy reform efforts in South Africa, and empowering voices in Nigeria.
