🌊Last week, our team made several key stops during European Water Technology Week (EWTW 2024)! We were thrilled to be back in Leeuwarden, the epicenter of water technology innovations. 🚀 Thank you, Ronald Wielinga and WaterCampus, for the invitation to pitch at the investor session! It was great to see such strong industry interest in our phosphorus recovery technology! Two moments captured 📷 with Wokke Wijdeveld Wetsus, European Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology (learning from the best in the business!) and Jaap Vogelaar, discussing how Paques BioBizz Hub can support us in building and piloting our Letonite water filter system! See you next time! #EWTW2024 #CircularEconomy #water

In contrary to a few loud EP candidates last week 👀 who declared that Europe's Green Deal is "an imaginary and foolish fight against global warming", we at P-Agro Minerals are putting all our resources, time and knowledge in building technology for stopping eutrophication in European water, recovering precious nutrients and supporting the circular economy direction. Call us crazy, but we see the results and we believe that it is possible! We know that sustainable businesses are the businesses of the future! Thank you Anda Asere, once again, for recognising us - believers - and spreading our story! 💚Baltic Business Quarterly

🌱 P-Agro Minerals: Leading the Charge in Sustainable Phosphorus Recovery 🌱 Did you know that phosphate rock and phosphorus play vital roles as raw materials for the European Union, but face challenges due to supply risks and import dependency? Meanwhile, an astonishing amount of phosphorus (valued at €800 million annually) is being discharged into European waters from wastewater treatment plants, contributing significantly to nutrient pollution. Enter P-Agro Minerals, 🌟 a beacon of innovation with a transformative solution. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, they are dedicated to sustainable nutrient sourcing by extracting essential elements like phosphorus and nitrogen from municipal and industrial wastewater streams. Not only does this combat water pollution, but it also converts these nutrients into valuable fertilizers for agricultural use.🌾 Their Letonite filter product, currently undergoing trials in Latvia, has demonstrated remarkable efficiency in recovering up to 95% of phosphorus, effectively addressing both water pollution and resource recovery challenges.💧 In the wake of the European Green Deal, which champions sustainable business models and market opportunities, P-Agro Minerals stands poised to lead the way. As Annija Emersone aptly states, "Sustainable businesses are the future. Those who embrace this vision early on will propel their competitiveness far beyond others." 🌍 Join us in discovering how P-Agro Minerals is transforming environmental challenges into sustainable business opportunities. Learn more about their journey and future endeavors in the latest edition of Baltic Business Quarterly! 📖 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d3vWQCjx #Sustainability #Innovation #WaterManagement #EuropeanGreenDeal #PartnerForBaltics

In April, the European Parliament finally agreed on tougher rules for phosphorus removal from wastewater! How will this affect Latvia? Should local governments and businesses start worrying?🧐 💧Jānis Zviedris, Chairman of the Board at CLEANTECH LATVIA, explains: There are 921 wastewater treatment plant in Latvia that carry out biological treatment of wastewater. It is expected that at least 50% of all wastewater treatment plants could be affected by the new requirements. Although time is a relative term and there are years to go before the targets are met, it passes quickly. This means that time and resources need to be reserved today - make sledges in summer and carts in winter. Be prepared.
[💧 #Wastewater] The new European wastewater regulation is out ! What’s new for Nitrogen and Phosphorus ? 🔍 Stricter Standards for Nitrogen & Phosphorus: The 2024 European Wastewater Treatment Directive is stepping up! New stringent emission limits are set for nitrogen and phosphorus, particularly targeting larger wastewater treatment plants. Why? To reduce eutrophication and preserve water bodies. 👉 See the new requirements and more data in the document below. 🔄 Mandatory Tertiary Treatment: For any WWTP serving over 150,000 people, tertiary treatment isn't just an option —it's a must! This advanced level of treatment is crucial for effectively removing harmful nutrients before they reach our rivers and lakes, ensuring cleaner and healthier water ecosystems. 🌿 Protection for Sensitive Areas: Focus is sharper than ever on areas prone to eutrophication. The directive requires member states to define new areas sensitive to nitrogen and/or phosphorus. For plants over 10 000 PE capacity releasing water in those areas, nitrogen and/or phosphorus removal will be more stringent. New standards and calendars for application are listed below 👇 #Eutrophication #Regulations #Sustainable #Water
