❔📣 Do you know the difference between these pump types? Positive Displacement pumps trap a fixed amount of fluid and then force that trapped volume from the inlet to the outlet port. Positive displacement pumps deliver a consistent flow regardless of the discharge pressure. Centrifugal pumps operate by using a rotating impeller to impart velocity to the fluid that converts kinetic energy to pressure energy as the fluid exits the impeller.
