Providing equine assisted learning opportunities to meet the needs of individuals and groups in Bloomington, IN.
About us
PALS is a Bloomington nonprofit organization that offers equine assisted learning opportunities. Our programs are designed to utilize the power of the human-horse connection. Lessons and classes are facilitated by Instructors and Equine Specialists in Mental Health certified by the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH). These experiences inspire emotional, cognitive, social, and physical growth though engaging activities with horses. Our services for individuals include adaptive riding and ground lessons for children and adults with physical, developmental, learning, or emotional differences. We offer group classes for specific populations including veterans, first responders, seniors, at-promise youth, and individuals on their journey to addiction recovery.

🌟 Supporter Spotlight: First Financial Bank 🌟 This month, we’re thrilled to shine a light on First Financial Bank, a longtime supporter of PALS and an incredible partner in our mission. 💙 ✨ What is First Financial Bank's background and mission? "As one of the first banks to organize under the new National Bank Act with Charter No. 56, our bank opened in Hamilton, Ohio, as First National Bank of Hamilton on August 15, 1863, and in 2023 First Financial Bank celebrated our 160th anniversary of being a positive influence by helping our clients and communities thrive. We are proudly local - We are friends, leaders, and neighbors. We are accessible and knowledgeable. We are local bankers and advisors who live in, are involved in, and make decisions that positively impact the communities we serve. We strive to be an outstanding community partner that makes a meaningful difference through our leadership and involvement in each community. We exist to be woven into the communities we serve and provide resources to make lives better." ✨ How did they discover PALS? "PALS and First Financial have had a relationship since 2013. I first learned about PALS through our former Commercial Market President – Steve Dirk – I was then invited to a Brunch at the Barn event in which we learned about all the impactful work that PALS does for our community, and I was instantly hooked!" ✨ Why do they support PALS? "Finding meaningful ways to support your organization beyond just a banking relationship has become a personal mission for me. The work that PALS does is truly unparalleled and profoundly impactful. Hearing firsthand the testimonies of individuals who have benefited from your efforts leaves a lasting impression on anyone fortunate enough to experience them. The mission and purpose of PALS have deeply resonated with us, making it personal. We are dedicated to contributing to your success and improving your efforts in any way possible. It is both an honor and a privilege to support such life-changing work." Thank you for believing in the power of the human-horse connection! 🐴💙 #SupporterSpotlight #PALSPartner #ThankYou #MakingADifference #SupportLocal
