The unprecedented wildfire crisis unfolding in the Los Angeles area is heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by these devastating fires, and our deepest gratitude goes to the remarkable firefighters and first responders whose tireless efforts are nothing short of extraordinary. This crisis is also a stark reminder of why we founded Pano AI in 2020: to put cutting-edge technology tools in the hands of those fighting wildfires on the front lines. However, technology is only effective when it’s adopted. For that, we need broad leadership from business and government to ensure our first responders are equipped with the best and most advanced tools. Policymakers and the public must come together to prioritize programs, funding, and policy reform for firefighter support, aviation and ground resources, next-generation technology, and forest health and fuel reduction. Now is not the time for hopelessness. It is the time for action. We at Pano AI remain committed to supporting our first responders with the innovation they need to protect our communities.

Forico Pty Limited, Tasmania’s largest private forest manager, announced a partnership with Pano AI to deploy four new bushfire detection stations to help safeguard 173,000 hectares of forests, conservation areas, and rural communities in North West Tasmania. This initiative aims to strengthen collaboration with the Tasmania Fire Service and Forico’s firefighting teams to respond faster and more effectively to fire threats. By adopting advanced technology, Forico is not only protecting its assets but also supporting nearby communities and infrastructure. As Burnie Mayor Teeny Brumby noted, “Adopting advanced technology is key to safeguarding natural resources and ensuring the long-term success of critical infrastructure projects.” We’re proud to partner with Forico on this effort, leveraging our AI-powered detection network across more than 2 million hectares in Australia. Together, we are working to reduce fire risks and help protect landscapes, communities and livelihoods. Last week, Xcel Energy announced Texas' largest wildfire detection tech deployment, partnering with Pano AI to install 50+ camera stations across 11 counties, with plans to expand to 125 stations in five years. Wildfires in the Texas Panhandle pose significant challenges due to flat grasslands, high winds, and fast-moving fire behavior, making this initiative a critical step in protecting communities and first responders. This initiative will enhance wildfire prevention and response by: - Detecting new ignitions quickly and accurately - Providing real-time situational awareness to first responders - Supporting safer prescribed fire practices - Protecting critical infrastructure and communities A key part of this effort is collaboration with the Amarillo Fire Department, Texas Division of Emergency Management and other fire agencies across the Panhandle. By working directly with first responders, we aim to ensure they have the tools and intelligence needed to act swiftly and safely during critical moments. Using 360-degree cameras, AI smoke detection, triangulation, and real-time alerts, this initiative will help reduce risks, accelerate response times, and help keep small fires from escalating into catastrophic events. This partnership is a meaningful step toward reducing wildfire risks and supporting the safety and resilience of communities across the Texas Panhandle. ➡️ https://ow.ly/5hmk50UnAQ6 Adrian J. We were honored to host our customer, the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and Washington State's Commissioner of Public Lands, Hilary Franz, at our San Francisco offices! Through her landmark 2021 legislation, Commissioner Franz championed an innovative "early detection and rapid initial attack" strategy, establishing a comprehensive wildfire management system that integrates early detection technology, strategically positioned helicopters, and advanced communication networks. The results speak for themselves: 95% of fires contained to under 10 acres for three consecutive years in Washington State. We're proud that Pano AI's AI-driven cameras play a crucial role in this forward-thinking approach. As climate change intensifies fire seasons across the country, Washington State's approach offers a proven model for effective wildfire management. We're grateful for our partnership with the DNR in building a more fire-resilient future. Sonia Kastner Peter Ambler #WildfireManagement #ClimateAdaptation #AI
