  • What does belonging look like at work? Sometimes, it starts with a conversation. Tess Thomas, CIR, CDR, HCS, our Senior Director of Talent and Culture, recently shared a story about a pivotal moment in her career. Early on, she thrived on process and structure, but a leader challenged her to embrace more flexibility in a fast-changing environment. At first, they disagreed – one prioritized structure, the other flexibility. Instead of letting the disconnect linger, that leader initiated a thoughtful conversation, listening openly to her perspective and collaborating to find a solution. The result wasn’t just a better way of working – it was the first time Tess felt truly seen and valued in her role. Moments like these are where belonging begins: with understanding, collaboration, and a commitment to growth. 🚨 New Data from Paradigm 🚨 2024 was a year of headwinds for corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. If you believe the headlines, DEI is dying. But the data in our latest report tells a different story: the majority of organizations are actually doubling down on creating workplaces where everyone can thrive. But how they’re approaching that work is changing. In The State of Culture and Inclusion, we share insights from over 220 organizations across 20+ industries, highlighting progress, setbacks, and actionable strategies for embedding inclusion into the core of organizational culture. 📊 Key findings include: • Despite the backlash, companies continue to make progress with their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. There was a 9 point increase in companies with strategies, a 12 point increase in companies with budgets, and 13 point increase in companies with dedicated leaders. • Gender representation goals are on the decline, with an 8 point decrease in companies with gender representation goals. • Almost half of companies are planning substantive changes to their diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in 2025. What will those changes look like, and how can companies continue to drive impact in today's landscape? The report identifies three key areas—resetting the narrative, using data to tell a more expansive story, and embedding efforts throughout your organization—we think will set companies up for success. Download the report here, and let me know how these insights resonate with what you're seeing in your organization. How are your efforts evolving (if at all) in 2025?

  • In a recent USA TODAY interview, our CEO and Co-Founder, Joelle Emerson, shared her perspective on the future of DEI in the corporate world, stating: "Instead of abandoning diversity, equity and inclusion, I think we’ll see companies adjust ... The majority of leaders I speak with know that harnessing diversity and fostering inclusion is critical to future business success. They want to be able to cast wider nets, to hire and advance the best people and create cultures where people can do their best work." Joelle’s insight highlights that diversity, equity, and inclusion isn't just a trend — it’s an essential strategy for companies aiming to thrive in a changing business landscape. Leaders are increasingly recognizing the value of diverse perspectives and inclusive environments as key drivers of innovation, engagement, and long-term success. The focus is on creating cultures where talent can flourish, ensuring that businesses remain competitive and resilient in the future. Check out the whole article for more - https://lnkd.in/eye6MWRZ
