I just returned from the ICF Midwest Coaches Conference at it was amazing. Flowing boldly wasn't just the theme of my PechaKucha presentation at the Conference; it was my mantra through every step of creating and presenting it! Sharing the Developmental Affirmations and connecting with so many incredible coaches at my booth was a thrill. Huge thanks to the ICF community for the support and good vibes! The photo is my opening slide. Stay tuned for those interested in diving deeper into these affirmations and how they can enhance your coaching practice! Exciting things are flowing your way. #FlowingBoldly #DevelopmentalAffirmations #ICFConference"

About us
"You have power over your mind — not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength. "- Marcus Aurelius What do you want to be when you grow up? I asked my niece, then 5. Her dad comes around the corner and says, “She wants to be kind, loving, and generous.” Wow, that statement said, who you are is more important than what you are. It focuses on character and process instead of outcomes, opening the door to resilient thinking. “Most of the successful people I’ve known are the ones who do more listening than talking.”― Bernard M. Baruch There is something about Caregiving/coaching that brings out our “fixer.” My family often reminds me that “fixing” the problem with advice and suggestions is not helpful. Learn to practice being a safe nest. Trust others to find their path and make mistakes while creating a safe nest to return to. It works! Relationships improved. "We are all students and teachers and often at the same time." Susan Abrams Milliagan Caregiving and coaching are a two-way street. It is easy to slide into, “How can I help others learn?” Learn to approach others with curiosity and ask, “What can I learn from others?” and open the door for personal growth and joy. "The fastest way to break the cycle of perfectionism and become a fearless mother is to give up the idea of doing it perfectly-indeed to embrace uncertainty and imperfection." Arianna Huffington I am messy. I am not talking about cleanliness (my desk might say otherwise…); I am talking about my humanity. If I am being honest… occasionally, I have award-winning moments; most of the time, I am just ok, and other times I blow it big time. It is ok to be messy. There is no shame or blame in our humanity. Let’s learn to embrace our messiness. Caregivers and professionals working with me will: • Feel valued, seen, and belong. • Develop stronger, deeper relationships that invite joy. • Practice ways of doing things that work for them. • Embrace your messiness as you grow.

Your teen wants you to hear them but they won't explicitly ask for attention from you because that's not cool. Instead, they "ask" in weird ways through the behavior. They're on the verge of adulthood and that feels both exciting and scary. Try these non-threatening statements to get your teen to open up and keep talking. #communication #connection #parentsupport #raisingteens #reflectivelistening #empoweredteens #merryparenting
