As the city continues to grow, we want all Tulsans to benefit from increased economic prosperity. To do this, we are committed to eliminating systemic barriers that limit or prevent access to quality jobs, housing, and wealth attainment. We facilitate and create strategic partnerships to support neighborhoods, residents, entrepreneurs, and businesses with the goal of ensuring all Tulsans, regardless of zip code, can live affordably, support families, and grow businesses.

    Today Noth Tulsa Economic Development Initiative (NTEDi) and Lana Turner-Addison, Ed.D. held the “topping out” of their placemaking project at the famous Stutts Barbecue as part of PartnerTulsa’s Community Impact Initiative (CII). The site will be augmented through the addition of art and historic elements over the next several months. It is intended to serve as a business, educational and fun attraction for selfies and reflection on the history of the businesses along Apache St. PartnerTulsa

    Mary Beth Babcock is a visionary entrepreneur with a deep connection to Tulsa’s rich history and Route 66 legacy. From her first business venture in Tulsa’s Blue Dome District to creating Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios, Meadow Gold Mack’s and Buck’s Vintage, Mary Beth has turned her passion for retail and local culture into iconic destinations along the historic highway.     PartnerTulsa hosted its inaugural Food Truck Workshop in celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event provided both current and aspiring food truck owners with essential insights into the licenses, permits and ordinances required to operate legally and efficiently in the City of Tulsa. Additionally, to further support Tulsa’s mobile food vendors, PartnerTulsa introduced a new brochure featuring a detailed checklist of operational requirements, designed to streamline the startup process and ensure compliance. By connecting food truck entrepreneurs with city and county officials, PartnerTulsa is reducing barriers and fostering strong relationships that fuel the growth of Tulsa’s dynamic mobile food scene.     As Tulsa prepares to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Route 66, the City of Tulsa launched the Neon Sign Grant Program. This initiative, funded through the Vision 2025 plan, provides valuable grant funding for local business owners to restore, refurbish, or install neon signs along this historic corridor. Since its inception in 2019, the program has helped nearly 60 property and business owners enhance the unique visual identity of Route 66, promoting cultural tourism and boosting the aesthetic appeal of our beloved highway.
