Pavlov Media offers broadband and television services nationwide. We’ve been building great networks since 1990. In those days, it was our founder, Mark Scifres, crawling through attics to wire houses, apartments, dorms and Greek houses. Today, it’s a team of over 235 people. And we’re not just wiring buildings—we’re constantly expanding on a national fiber optic backbone that connects hundreds of MDU communities in more than 40 states. Building a Team That Works Hard, Plays Hard, and Feels Valued How do you know you’re creating the right environment for your team? A quick short story - Last Wednesday, during a regular catch-up with a team member about an upcoming campaign, I noticed her T-shirt—a bold “Marketing Team is #1.” But that wasn’t all. Printed on it was a picture of me from a recent community event, captured in a moment that must’ve been worth a million bucks because, from her reaction, I could tell I’d been “caught” in the best way possible. It was a moment that showed me how connected we really are. Fast-forward to Halloween, and in walks one of my district leaders—wearing khakis, a lavender company polo, and…a name tag with my name on it! Three more joined in, all dressed the same, complete with gray-sprayed hair upfront. They didn’t just dress up; they took on the team spirit with humor and camaraderie. Moments like these remind me that it’s not just about the tasks we tackle; it’s about the culture we create together. I’m incredibly proud of the work environment we’ve built—a place where we work hard, laugh hard, and support each other every step of the way. In the end, it’s the little things, the shared laughter, and mutual respect that turn a group of colleagues into a truly exceptional team.
