  • With financial pressures persisting, more consumers are turning to Flexible Payment Options like Zip, Afterpay, and PayPal Pay in 4. According to the 2025 Ecommerce Payments Experience Report released by Payments Consulting Network and Power Retail, supported by Stripe and Zip Co, adoption is particularly strong among younger demographics — more than half of consumers aged 18-44 now use these payment methods, underscoring a shift away from traditional credit.    💡Mangala Martinus, Managing Director at Payments Consulting Network and Merchant Advisory, gives an insight on the current ecommerce landscape:  “In today’s competitive ecommerce landscape, consumers have a wide range of retailers and marketplaces to choose from. So, it is crucial for retailers to understand consumer purchasing behaviour and decision-making criteria and adapt accordingly to succeed.”    📢 Grant Arnott, CEO and Founder of Power Retail, notes:  “Millennials are the dominant demographic for Flexible Payment Options, while penetration is notably lower among those 45 and over. Younger consumers have embraced this alternative, making it a must-have for retailers targeting this market.”    For retailers, offering secure and recognisable payment options isn’t just about convenience — it’s about trust. Research reveals 58% only purchasing from brands they already trust and 41% checking reviews before committing to a buy. Featuring well-known third-party providers along with transparent returns and refund policies, can help reduce cart abandonment and build customer confidence.    🔐 Nitin Kashid, Chief Commercial Officer, ANZ at Zip, emphasises security:  “Offering secure payments methods such as Zip is not only appealing to customers; it’s also helping take the pressure off businesses as we take the credit and fraud risk, so once a transaction is approved a business is guaranteed the payment - which allows them to focus on growing their business.”    🚀Karl Durrance, Managing Director AUNZ at Stripe, highlights the shift in consumer expectations:   “Today’s shoppers demand speed, ease, and trust in every transaction. Payments modernisation is no longer optional—it’s a strategic necessity for retailers looking to stay ahead in a competitive market.”    As payment preferences continue to evolve, businesses that adapt will win. Is your checkout experience meeting customer expectations?    The report is based on a survey of over 1,000 Australian consumers.     ⬇️ Download the full report to learn more about the impact of payments on customer experience 👉 https://lnkd.in/g95GSfrg   #CX #Ecommerce #Payments #FlexiblePayments #BNPL #DigitalTrust
