We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving yesterday! Today, we celebrate Native American Heritage Day, which is a day dedicated to recognizing the rich cultures, traditions, and histories of Native American people. It is observed annually in the United States on the day after Thanksgiving. The day serves as a time to honor and celebrate the significant contributions that Native Americans have made to the history, culture, and society of the United States. Established through legislation signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2008, Native American Heritage Day aims to provide an opportunity for all Americans to learn more about the indigenous cultures of the United States and to acknowledge the importance of Native American heritage. The day often includes various events and activities such as cultural performances, educational programs, storytelling, traditional crafts, and more.
