About us
THON is the world’s largest student-run philanthropy, engaging more than 16,000 students and over 25,000 alumni in the fight against childhood cancer. THON’s yearlong fundraising and awareness campaign culminates in a 46-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon every February. Since 1977, Penn State students have raised more than $167 million for THON’s sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, funding comprehensive care and critical research. Today is #GivingTuesday, a national day of giving! It is THON™'s mission as a student organization to one day dance in celebration of a cure for childhood cancer. This #GivingTuesday, support THON to make a difference in the life of a child. Starting at 8 AM, every 3rd donation is matched up to $100 until funds run out. Starting at 6 PM, all student donations are matched up to $10 is matched 1:1 until funds run out. Thanks to the generosity of Johnson & Johnson, 10 winners from Instagram will be selected to win $250 credited to an organization or IDC of their choosing!
