We're proud to announce that we have received FDA clearance for Patterns 3.0, expanding the use of our proprietary fetal heart rate pattern recognition technology from 36 weeks of gestational age to 32 weeks. These additional weeks of monitoring for high-risk pregnancies significantly increase the utility and impact of our solution, supporting antepartum and intrapartum fetal monitoring. "With this clearance, clinicians can now utilize PeriGen’s analytics earlier in pregnancy, providing immediate benefits in clinical practice. Extending our AI-driven fetal monitoring to 32 weeks allows providers to benefit from early warning of indeterminate and abnormal fetal heart rate patterns in preterm patients, supporting timely interventions for these high-risk pregnancies.” - John Parker, MD, Chief Medical Officer at PeriGen Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g-YqZDdi

“This gives physicians some additional data points, nurses some additional data points to make good decisions for moms. It has some alerting mechanisms on it that if the computer system is seeing a patient where mom’s blood pressure and respiratory rate is low, it’ll alert us to that. Labor and delivery is a really busy place so this vigilance that you need to take care of moms, sometimes you get distracted to tend to another patient, this will pull you back to that patient and alert you to it.” -Kimberlee McKay, MD F.A.C.O.G. - Avera Research Medical Director

What an incredible time at the AWHONN Leadership Development Conference in Seattle! It was inspiring to connect with so many passionate leaders who are driving change in the industry. Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) gave away 12 year-long subscriptions to Rhythm & Readings: Monthly Tracing Review as door prizes. Congratulations to the winners! 🎉 We're proud to sponsor this micro-learning series, which is designed to enhance nurses' skills in fetal heart monitoring (FHM), contributing to better outcomes for mothers and babies. These 15-minute-per-month micro-learning sessions feature FHM simulation tracing reviews that will equip you with essential knowledge to advance your practice. Each session offers 0.25 nursing contact hours, for a total of 3.0 nursing contact hours, and counts toward C-EFM certification maintenance. Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/gd69x7BT

Thank you Angels in Medicine for highlighting the work we are doing in Malawi! We are so proud of Dr. Jeffrey Wilkinson, Dr. Chikondi Yakobe, MD, and the team at Area 25 health centre in Lilongwe. "At Area 25, which handles 8,000 deliveries annually, the technology’s success has created momentum for expansion. Dr. Chikondi Chiweza, head of maternal care, shared with The Guardian, “AI technology is being used in many fields, and saving babies’ lives should not be an exception. It can really bridge the gap in the quality of care that underserved populations can access." The hospital’s achievements have sparked discussions about implementing the system in other hospitals across Africa, offering hope for improved maternal care throughout the continent."

"Technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), has the potential to revolutionize women's healthcare. AI can improve diagnostics, treatment, and access to care, particularly in underserved and remote areas. The landscape of women's healthcare is transforming, but challenges remain. Research disparities must be addressed, and legislative action is needed to ensure continued support. Collaboration among stakeholders and technology integration will be key to realizing the full potential of this new era in women's healthcare." Great read by Geri Stengel in Forbes:
