Yesterday, the Pittsburgh Chapter’s youth program, BotsIQ hosted its 4th Girls Exploring Engineering Day. To date, this program has introduced nearly 500 young women to manufacturing. This is just one way the Pittsburgh Chapter is working to build awareness about the industry and its careers. The action reinstates 25% tariffs on steel imports from all countries, while increasing the tariffs on aluminum from 10% to 25%. On Saturday, President Trump signed an order placing 25% tariffs on imports from Canada and Mexico, and 10% tariffs on imports from China, which will go into effect tomorrow.
