A thought-provoking day at #trade2024 to say the least! I recognized that many of Pharmaceutical Commerce Magazine EAB members are in the attendance, including Cheryl Allen, Blake Powers, and William Roth. Roth led off day 1 with a year-in-review and preview of 2025, and a stat that stuck out to me was that the average pharmacy abandonment rate in the retail market is 50% *mind blown.* He also noted the value in taking risks: "At some point, it's going to work, but you're not necessarily going to see it in the data." (More on this session from my colleague Donald Tracy, MA when he puts together the synopsis.) I also had the opportunity to moderate a panel (shoutout Allie Spica) on "Insights From Wall Street: Market Dynamics and Investment Considerations in Drug Commercialization, Distribution and Pharmacy," featuring Joyce Lau and Shawn Pelc, in which they wonderfully helped break down the market dynamics across specialty pharma, infusion, and distribution channels. Great feedback and great questions from the audience members too. Stay tuned for the rest of the session coverage that's to come throughout the week! MJH Life Sciences®
