The recent critique of donor-advised funds (DAFs) as instruments of a supposed Wall Street “takeover” of philanthropy is, at best, alarmist and, at worst, profoundly misleading. 

Giving Tuesday 2024 broke its 12-year record for revenue, bringing in an estimated $3.6 billion, 16% higher than last year’s total of $3.1 billion, despite the concerns entering the day of giving.

Those with mental health challenges deserve dignity, respect and access to quality care. When we lift organizations doing this important work, we're empowering people living with mental health conditions to not just survive, but thrive and reach their full potential. Data incontrovertibly shows that a lack of quality mental health resources contributes to higher rates of homelessness, hunger, substance abuse, lower education outcomes, domestic violence and other societal issues.
