Happy Labor Day! The fruit derived from labor is the sweetest of pleasures… ~ Luc de Clapiers #phillyfreshproduce
Thanks to new PhilaPort (The Port of Philadelphia) Foreign Reps, Uwe and Dominic, for visiting the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market! Here, they explore M. LEVIN & COMPANY, INC, where Mark Levin explains the day to day operations of the facility as well our ripening capabilities. We’re grateful to be in such close proximity to the global leader in food cargoes, including $3.5 billion in produce that came through Philadelphia in 2023. Together, we work to make global markets accessible to the Philadelphia region and beyond! #phillyfreshproduce #philaport #pwpm
Go where the produce is happy. #phillyfreshproduce #happyproduce
Philadelphia has always been a great place to buy and sell produce. We’re close to highways, railways, airports, and a world renowned port. A lot has changed in the last 100 years, but fresh produce will always be a quintessential part of our very being. As we approach our 13th birthday in this state-of-the-art facility, come check us out and learn why “fresh is our life’s work.”
Are you ready for Chinese New Year? In 2024, the Lunar New Year (aka Chinese New Year) ushers in the year of the Dragon on Saturday, February 10th. Celebrated on the second new moon after the winter solstice, the Lunar New Year is one of the most important holidays in China and other Asian countries. Festivities, parades, music, and feasting continue for two weeks, culminating with the Lantern Festival on February 24th. Serve up fruit and veggies that attract positive energy, good luck, and prosperity such as tangerines and oranges (happiness), grapes (abundance), leafy greens (longevity), and sugarcane (success)!
