📢 PHOENIX 4.0 has officially launched! 🌍✨ On December 11–12, 2024, the PHOENIX 4.0 consortium gathered in Nîmes, France, to kick off a transformative project aimed at empowering European tourism SMEs with sustainability, digital innovation, and resilience.💡   Tourism SMEs represent 90% of the sector and play a vital role in regional economies, yet they face significant challenges such as over-tourism, seasonality, and workforce shortages. Tourbit concludes, leaving a digital mark on european tourism SMEs! Remember a few days ago when we shared the amazing news that Tourbit had empowered 61 tourism SMEs across Europe? Well, buckle up for the 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀. 💻 Empowered through technology: These 61 SMEs weren't just given a helping hand; they received 8.000€-9.000€ to implement innovative digital solutions like AR, VR, and AI! 🌐 European reach: Partners across Belgium, Finland (Lapland), France, Iceland, Portugal, Slovenia, and Spain (Catalonia) collaborated to make a difference. Here's a breakdown of some of our main actions: ◾ 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸-𝘂𝗽: We designed the Digital Readiness Index (DRI) to assess each SME's digital readiness. ◾ 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁: Introductory webinars on Tourism 4.0 and the Tourbit year release equipped SMEs with the latest trends. Plus, we offered 17 webinars, a Start Digital Toolbox, and a dedicated Tourism 4.0 Industry resource for ongoing learning. ◾ 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝗽: TourBIZZ, our thriving tourism business community with 1,400+ members, facilitated connections between tourism and tech. We hosted 7 live co-creation workshops, a virtual transnational matchathon, and produced 14 insightful podcasts (Tour Tech Podcast) reaching over 700 tourism SMEs. Want to see the project come alive?
