Beige seems like a neutral color, but it’s been causing lots of controversy in the design world. A new study links using products like lotions and hair conditioner to higher levels of endocrine-disrupting chemicals called phthalates in young children. Phthalates are a group of chemicals often added to plastics to make them stronger.
