We are saddened to learn of her #breastcancer diagnosis, and grateful to her for spreading the message of early detection! “They found it so, so, so early that I’m going to be fine. So, I want to share this because I hope that it will encourage anyone to get in there. World Breast Cancer Research Day - August 18th - is an opportunity for us to amplify the importance of finding a cure for breast cancer. The world does an inspiring job of showcasing breast cancer advocacy during the month of October, this day shows support beyond that. We are committed to finding a cure for everyone who is impacted by the disease regardless of gender. The 18th day of the 8th month of the year is indicative of the 1 in 8 women (and 1 in 833 men) who will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetimes. Know your risk and take action, beyond October.

A co-survivor is anyone who lends support or is a caregiver to someone with breast cancer (or any cancer). They are often the unsung heroes of a cancer diagnosis, walking alongside someone with breast cancer from diagnosis through treatment and beyond, offering support in a variety of ways. Co-survivors can be family members, spouses or partners, friends, health care providers or colleagues.
