As governments and civil society meet in Busan, Korea for the 5th International Negotiating Session for the Global Plastics Treaty, I’m excited to share the Plastic Solutions Fund's latest op-ed, which underscores the need for a dedicated financial mechanism to support the treaty's implementation. As we prepare for another COP in Azerbaijan, we wanted to highlight how plastic production is on track to consume 20-25% of the world's carbon budget by 2050 —equivalent to adding hundreds of new coal plants. While climate philanthropy has traditionally focused on renewable energy and electrification, an ambitious Global Plastics Treaty comes as a powerful potential new tool to address emissions through plastic reduction. This includes organizing application and reporting procedures, managing decision-making workflows, and ensuring all templates and documents are fully integrated with PSF’s organizational tools.  The core objective of this position is to facilitate and ensure a user-friendly and seamless grantmaking process for the grantees, program managers, and other decision makers while aligning organizational values, principles, and strategic vision. To accomplish this, the Grants Coordinator will collaborate closely with key stakeholders and the Operations Team, which is responsible for the design and development of PSF’s tools and systems.  Reporting to the Program Director, the Grants Coordinator will have responsibilities related to grant application process and reporting, grants decision-making process, grantmaking tools, processes and systems, strategic collaboration and operational liaison, processing of approved grants, and information management and storage. 📍 This position is remote and will be based in the Philippines or Indonesia (preferred). The Impact and Learning Advisor will be responsible for producing meaningful stories and effective communication materials to explain the relevance of PSF's strategy and theory of change. Additionally, the Impact and Learning Advisor will be responsible for building a framework to collect impact evidence and related assets that is respectful of both the grantees and the needs of staff and stakeholders.   Reporting to the Executive Director, the Impact and Learning Advisor will have responsibilities related to impact framework design, evidence collection, management and storage, internal and external communication, and evaluation and learning. 📍 This remote position is based on the United States or anywhere in Europe with a preference for the Netherlands.
