Here's the story: Last year, the average brand sending 15%-20% more texts in December (than November) matched or exceeded their November revenue. Meanwhile brands that sent fewer texts MoM saw an average 43% decline in channel revenue. So yes, efficiency does come down after BFCM. It becomes a volume play. BLACK FRIDAY SMS STATS ARE IN 😤 Postscript SMS volume grew 90% YoY, and perhaps more importantly.... Merchant SMS attributed revenue GREW 230% YoY ‼️ We heard from many merchants this year that SMS revenue outperformed email revenue for the first time.
